Finally found the fox’s natal den. They ditched the old place by nearly half a mile after last year’s den in a brush pile was burned. Wonder if they will use any of the old dens up that way for when the pups age a bit, or if this is the new home base after so many years…
Hopefully pup photos soon. Tough one to get a good distance spy location from. Crunchy leaves and no opening.

Anyone read any of these books or the 15 or so others that this guy wrote? I am planning a work party up at his place a couple hours north of here which involves getting firewood in for next winter. Bernd will provide a cabin for all of us and plenty of beer for anyone who wants it. Private message me for details, but I am hoping for a two day trip on a Thursday or Friday since I work on the weekends. Let’s give back to this guy who has shared so much wisdom with the world!
